AWR6843AOP: mmWave Studio usage conditions

Hi Ti,

According to my understanding, using mmWave studio, the signal can be changed to CW mode for operation, and more subtle AOP information can be obtained.
I have the following two questions:
1. Can I only use it through DCA1000?
2. If I don’t want to pass through the DCA1000, what signal line do I need to pull out?

Hi Josh,

The EVM I use is AWR6843AOPEVM. If I want to use mmWave studio, can I only connect through DCA1000?
If I want to put the AOP on my homemade PCB, what signal trace do I need to keep?

Here are the design files for the EVM, for you to reference all connections, etc.: https://www.ti.com/tool/AWR1843AOPEVM#design-files

You might have best results if you have EVM + DCA1000 setup to reference as you bring up your solution.
