IWR1443BOOST: Is it possible to capture direct leak signals?

Hello, engineer. I am using the IWR1443BOOST with the DCA1000EVM for signal collection. I have noticed that the bin files formed from the signal collection are already intermediate frequency signals. My research may require the use of the direct leakage part (i.e., the signal transmitted directly from Tx to Rx). Can my equipment capture these signals? If so, how should I set it up?

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your willingness to delve into the matter and look forward to your insights.

My understanding is that since the chirp signal is continuously emitted, the original signal received by Rx should inherently include both the reflected signal and the direct leakage.

For the purposes of my project, obtaining this raw signal is crucial as it would enable an in-depth data analysis.

To add, is there a way for me to obtain the signal when the Tx chirp and Rx chirp in this part do not overlap?

Hi Haiming,

We cannot have the original signal received by Rx. We should only have the IF data from the ADC in signal processing chain. Also, IWRL1443 has 40dB isolation between TX and RX, so the direct leakage will be obtained at -40dB.
