AWRL1432: SoC can't recover from LPDS if the WDT is enabled

Hi team,

Customer set the WDT with 1s, and then go to LPDS mode. And SoC will recover from LPDS after 10s. But after test, they find SoC can't recover from LPDS successfully. What is the cause for this phenomenon? Will the WDT has some conflicts with LPDS?

Shawn,

The WDT needs to be disabled before entry in to LPDS:

If not disabled, SOC may crash.

Can you try this?

Hi Tim,

I'm trying to add the WDT in our Power mode example, but it can't run. I have close the WDT before entry the LPDS mode and open it by Drivers_watchdogOpen(), it doesn't work. I will send the project by email to you and please help give me a LPDS demo that combining a wdt.

Hi Shawn,

Have have you looked at the watchdog example in the SDK? Remember a copy of the data section must be maintained over the warm reset.

Can you give some more specifics of where it is failing?

Please see what I have modified.

And this is the debug stack.

If I remove the Watchdog_close and Drivers_watchdogOpen, it still has this problem.

And I have modify the linker file.

It's same as the linker file in watchdog_reset_mode example.

Hey Shawn,

You should also add in the code required for copying the data section from load memory to run memory location in main.c which is included in the watchdog reset mode example.

Hi Shawn,

Which SDK version are you using, and ES version? Have you ran the low power and WD demos seperately to make sure they work on your device?

I would also put the code to re-enable the watchdog at the end of the driver open calls in power_LPDSresumehook() function.

Hi Tim

It's SDK5341 and 1432 es2.0 silicon. The power mode and wdt reset demo can work separately. So I'm a little confused why I combine them into one demo, it has problems. For the Drivers_watchdogOpen() sentence, I have verified it and the demo also doesn't work.
