IWR6843AOP: Struggling to get design with IWR6843AOP working

Thanks for reaching out to us. Usually, schematic reviews take up to a week time. I have added the schematic review in queue and shall get back to you. Meanwhile, I would like to know what is the USB to UART communication interface you are using?

Also, please verify if the currently used Serial Flash part is supported by the mmWave device IWR6843, kindly refer to the below appnote.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I'm am planning to connect UART RX/TX and TX data directly to an ESP32 micro-controller, no usb converter however for testing I am connecting UART to PC using standard FTDI UART/USB cable.

In my previous designs I was using MX25R1635FZUIH0 but I will change to the MX25L3233FM2I in my next build.

Hi,

I reviewed the schematic and could not find any major flaw.

Could you please clarify what voltage is being driven for SOP2.

Also, could you please confirm if the device is waking up. Could you please share oscilloscope capture of SOP2, SOP1 and SOP0 and VIOIN at the time of reset release. Please capture the reset signal as well. Please check the VBGAP voltage.

Thanks for the reviewing the schematic. I will investigate the points you raised and get some oscilloscope traces.

SOP2 is driven by 3.3V

I'm not sure of the device is waking up, there is no activity on the UART lines however there are changes in the current profile.
