Hi Edward,
Thanks for reaching out on E2E.
What calibration are you talking about antenna calibration or RF calibration?
Thanks,
Anirban
Hi Edward,
AWR1843 beam steering application already does RF runtime calibrations for Tx power, Rx gain, PD calibration and LODIST calibration.
Thanks,
Anirban
Hello Anirban Chand:
Does it mean that our units with beam steering feature don't need to run RF calibration one-by-one again in manufacture stage?
Thank you !
Edward
Hi Edward,
By default a RF init time calibration is done before rfInit API is called. Afterwards, the user can configure a runtime calibration as well.
rlRfRunTimeCalibConfig API is used to configure the runtime calibration with correct calibration configuration data. With this API you will be able to -
1) Trigger one-time calibration instantaneously
2) Schedule periodic run time calibrations
3) Configure the calibration periodicity
4) Enable the calibration summary reports
In our beam steering application for AWR1843, a one-time runtime calibration is already programmed. So, I don't think you need to do it on-by-one again.
If you still consider to do it, above mentioned API is the way to go!
Thanks,
Anirban
