TMP1075: Expected value cannot read when negative temperature is measured.

Part Number: TMP1075

Hi all,

When the device measures a negative temperature, I cannot read the expected temperature value.

The expected and actual values of the integer part (1byte) at the time of occurrence are described below.

<-10°C >

Expected value: 0xF7

Actual value: 0xFA to 0xFC

<-20°C >

Expected value: 0xED

Actual value: 0xFC to 0xFD

The actual value differs from the expected value even if multiple measurements are taken.

Regarding reading of the temperature sensor when positive:

A value equivalent to that of the DIGTAL OUTPUT (HEX) (Table 9-1) shown on the datasheet can be read, but a value different from the expected value shown on the datasheet can be read when negative.

we are considering countermeasures by setting registers, etc.

Could you tell us the countermeasures for the above occurrence?

Best Regards,

Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

Thank you for bringing up this concern. What temperature source are you comparing TMP1075 with? Are you using a chamber? How long are soaking TMP1075? Can you describe your setup? Are there any other heat sources to consider?

    Best Regards,
