MMWAVEICBOOST: Device won't power on, No LED illuminates!

Hi Navid,

Could you try replicating the steps you took where you were able to get the board working as expected? Let us know if this still works or not.

If it works, could you provide more details in what steps in the developer's guide things don't go as expected? If you could provide a link to the guide you are referencing, that would be helpful too.

 I cannot reproduce the initial steps (flashing/functional mode) now, as my PC does not recognize any COM ports from the connected USB port. Additionally, the MMWAVEICBOOST device does not power on, and there are no LEDs flashing on the board. So, I am unable to replicate the initial process.

I believe it is a hardware issue. I detached AWR6843ISK and just connected MMWAVEICBOOST to the power supply! No vital signs appear and no LED turns on! Could it be the case that the board suddenly became faulty?

Hi Navid,

The issue might be with the power supply. Could you try connecting another new/working 5V/3A power supply to the MMWAVEICBOOST board and check the LEDs glow. This will confirm if the issue is with the Power supply adapter.

The power supply is not the issue! I tried two power supplies but nothing changes. MMWAVEICBOOST does not show any vital sign!

We also have AWR1642BOOST and DCA1000, which both power supplies work well with them. 

May you have any other suggestion for us?

Hi Navid,

Could you probe the voltage between R116(below the DC Jack connector) and the Ground? This should give you the 5V reading in Multimeter. Let us know if you are able to observe this 5V.

I did the test and I am NOT observing 5V voltage between R116 and Ground!

Hi Navid,

Could you also probe the voltage between F1(Fuse) and ground. F1 is placed beside the DC jack. This should give you 5V reading. Else, we can conclude that either fuse is blown or DC jack is not working properly.

Aditionally for checking DC jack, you can probe between terminal 1 and terminal2/3 of Dc jack.

I can neither see the 5V across F1 nor between terminal 1 and terminal2/3 of Dc jack. So, could we conclude that DC jack is faulty? Is it possible replace this?
