AWRL6432: Application of 60GHz Radar IC to the exterior of the vehicle

Looking at the AWRL6432 and AWRL1432 data sheets, 60GHz radar ic is proposed for indoor limited applications such as canbin sensing, CPD, and Occupancy detection, and 77GHz radar ic is proposed for limited applications outside the vehicle such as automated parking, CTA, and BSD.

Is there a reason why not recommend applying the 60GHz radar IC to the outside of the vehicle?

No singularity is known except that the output regulation for 60 GHz is stricter than 77 GHz.

    Hi Sey,

                The frequency band of operation if conventionally defined by geographies(standards they follow), however for some regions 60GHz has been allowed for outside auto applications too. The DS contains typical applications where the device(s) are seen to be going.
