PSPICE-FOR-TI: How to run a simulation using Pspice for TI

Guru 10090 points
Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR51610

Hi,

The simulation is performed using Pspice for TI. The "Run Pspice" button cannot be pressed in SIMULATION. There is a possibility that the required settings are not configured, so could you please take a look at the saved file and give us any comments?

Thanks,

Conor

  • Hi Conor,

I'll download and give this a look. I'll get back with you tomorrow.

  • Hi Conor,

There was no sim profile included with the project.

You can select from the top menu, PSpice -> New Simulation Profile to set that up. Or there's a shortcut button:

The output doesn't start switching until 8us.

  • Hi David,

Based on your comments, I was able to implement the simulator operation in Pspice. However, the results of the voltage monitor being checked seem to be different from what I expected. Could you give me some advice?

    Thanks,

    Conor

  • Hi Conor,

I'm not familiar with this device and its operation. I can re-direct this to an apps engineer for this product line. They'll be better able to answer specific questions regarding proper setup and behavior for the device in question.

I see that the model test circuit wasn't included. I've corrected that, but it'll take a day or 2 to update. Let's wait for that, and then you'll be able to open that test circuit and run the test setup that works for this device.

  • Hi David,

I was introduced to a similar product, LMR51610, in another thread.
Therefore, I am simulating the LMR51610, but an ERROR (ORCAP-15089) occurs and I cannot perform the verification. Can I get any comments?

    Thanks,

  • H Conor,

You'll need to select the other simulation profile.

You can also add a new simulation profile.

I too get that error message. I'll look into it some more. Probably an association is missing.

I was able to place a marker, and create a new sim profile.
