Hi TI,

While I compare the resources between IWR6843 and IWRL6432, I am not sure these features for IWR6843 resources are available:

  1. Presence Detection
    1. IWR6843
      • Have not found related code resources in radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06 or mmwave_sdk_03_06_02_00-LTS.
      • Question: should I use the source code from \radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06\source\ti\examples\Area_Scanner\src\6843 for this feature.
    2. IWRL6432
      • Source code: MMWAVE_L_SDK_05_04_00_01\examples\mmw_demo\motion_and_presence_detection\source
  2. Zone Detection
    1. IWR6843
      • Have not found related code resources in radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06 or mmwave_sdk_03_06_02_00-LTS.
      • Question: should I use the source code from \radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06\source\ti\examples\Area_Scanner\src\6843 for this feature.
    2. IWRL6432
  3. Vital Signs
    1. IWR6843
      • Source code: Have not found in radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06.
      • Binary: radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06\source\ti\examples\Medical\Vital_Signs_With_People_Tracking\prebuilt_binaries
      • Question: Is IWR6843 for Vital Signs shares the same source code for IWRL6432?

    IWRL6432 and IWR6843 both have zone and presence detection, but they're done differently as you've identified. Using Area Scanner for 6843 and presence & motion for 6432 is correct. The vital signs code for 6432 and 6843 is not the same. Please use the correct software for the hardware you have in-hand.

    Hi Nate,

    After I check the content of vital_signs_ISK_6m.cfg in radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06\source\ti\examples\Medical\Vital_Signs_With_People_Tracking\chirp_configs, then I knew that the source code for IWR6843 is using the radar_toolbox_2_00_00_06\source\ti\examples\People_Tracking\3D_People_Tracking\src\6843.
