Hi team?
there is a simple question when using OPT4001, the calculation formula is (ADC_CORES* 312.5*E)-6, or ADC_CORES* 312.5*(E-6)? And where is the E value from?

Hi Jingguo,
In Equations (5) and (6) the E denotes scientific notation. Alternatively:

Hi Nicole,
thanks for your reply, add another question, Does the sensor need its whole surface to receive light or only part of it to receive light? and is the light sensor in the center of the whole IC?

Hi Jingguo,
Yes, the optical sensing area is centered on the package.
The device response is proportional to the sensor area that is illuminated. For example, if 25% of the sensor area is blocked the device reading would be attenuated by 25%. In this example, if you shine 100 lux on the sensor we would expect the device reading to be 75 lux.

Hi Nicole,
when using OPT4001-Q1 EVM, there always exist a fault report as the follow picture,
And the OPT4001EVM is good, do you know why? They need OPT4001-Q1 in automotive.
And could I let customer do the evaluation with OPT4001EVM in this moment?
Hi Jingguo,
To troubleshoot this GUI error I would recommend switching the USB port that is being used and restarting the GUI. Please let me know if this resolves the issue.
Best regards,
Nicole
