Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243, UNIFLASH
We are experimenting with AWR1243 (along with DCA1000). After successfully installing on this window laptop :
mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00
mmwave_dfp_01_02_06_03
xds_drivers
Uniflash
we are still unable to flash the part. Either thru Uniflash or thru the mmdevstudio. We have tried to run the executable in dfp called mmwave-example.exe directly and even that
fails due to not being able to reset the board. Please see below
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_01_02_06_03\ti\example\mmwavelink_example>mmwavelink_example.exe
=========== mmWaveLink Example Application ===========
Device map 1 : SOP 4 mode successful
Device map 1 : Device reset successful
rlComIfOpen Callback Called for Device Index [0]
rlDeviceEnable Callback is called by mmWaveLink for Device Index [0]
mmWave Device Power on failed for deviceMap 1 with error -8
=========== mmWaveLink Example Application execution Failed ===========
=========== mmWaveLink Example Application: Exit ===========

With Uniflash, when used we get an error "cannot communicate to device error". Even though the serial ports and drivers (4 AR_DEV_pack_EVM012 +2 Emupack XDS110) are seen OK in Device Manager. We can neither erase nor program with this tool as it does not seem to get any response from the AWR1243 card. These cards are brand new.

In mmdevstudio we tried to connect to USB/FTDI (OK) (step 1) and then fails to load the radarss.bin, or masterss.bin or the meta-file metalmaster.bin as it shows in the status window.
The AWR boards respond to the reset signal and seem to come out of reset. The DCA1000 unit is starting up well and goes thru its initialization
goes into a OK mode with Green LED after a full check(LEDs sequencing and flashing at start up). We have directly connected both DCA and AWR to this Laptop (Windows) without the use of a USB hub.
Please assist as we are coming up with a deadline and wanted to get the Radar doing an Azimuth scan of the field on the Laptop.
