I need a long range sensor, and I am planning to buy either AWR2944EVM or AWR2243EVM.
I found out that neither of them support ROS or TI's MMWAVE Sensing Esimator and so I will have to write a script to read and parse the data over UART/CAN.
My question is, Do they follow the same template scheme as discussed in "Understanding UART Data Output Format"? And can I use Hard coded configs?
Hi KP,
Can you provide us the link and details of the scheme you are talking of?

For 2nd gen, I am sending you the format.
It is same as 1st gen.

So from this I assume, I should be able to parse it the same way as I would do for any other category eg: xwr6843 etc.
What about Hard-coded Configs? Do they both support it?
And where can I find example Configs for AWR2944 and AWR2243 since neither of them support Sensing Estimator.
Hi KP,
Let me check that once. get back to you within this week.

Hi KP,
Sensing Estimator is used for generating config files. For AWR2944 configs can be found in TI resource explorer in HECR example or in the Demo.
And what do you mean by Hard config? Is it meant by bypassing CLI or you want the it to hard code it within the code like just SRR or MRR?
