Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843AOP
I understand the 6843AOLEVM that I am using has linear and vertical polarization. I want to detect and metal or possibly any ceramic object on a person (ceramic may not be detectable). But edges of metal can reflect with a polarization scattering (which I don't think human skin would do), so there may be some horizontal polarization coming back (but much less amplitude like down 10db). Is it possible to try different antennas where the different receive antennas can have orthogonal polarizations? I also believe a metal object will reverse a circular polarization direction (from right hand to left hand, for instance). Can someone there give me info on how I might be able test some of these scenarios. Thanks!
