IWR6843AOP: Maximum allowed temperature at PM, DIG1, DIG2 and Antenna temperatures(TXx, RXx)

Part Number: IWR6843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Hello Community,

I am mmeasuring PM (power circuit), DIG1(R4F), DIG2(DSP), and antenna temperatures. However, I could not find the valid temperature ranges for these temperature sensors.

What is the valid maximum values these temperature sensors measure where we could say that IWR6843 is in safe state?

Thanks and regards,

Swapnil

  • Hello Swapnil,

All our industrial parts will have proper functionality temperature ratings of -40C to 85C.

  • Hello Pedrhom,

Thanks for your reply. I think your answer is a more generalized temperature range for TI devices. But I want to know the specific temperature range for the sensors near processors, antennas, and power circuit. It is important for our tests.

In the below-attached image that is in the Radar ICD document, they have mentioned the temperature range for processors and antennas but not for power circuit.

Please have a look at it and let me know if I could use this temperature range for our tests and could you also help us find temperature range for sensor near power circuit.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Swapnil

  • Hello Swapnil,

Each RX and TX channel has a temp sensor along with the on-die power management module. These temp sensors are all labeled as ANA.

So yes you could use the same temperature range for power as well.

    Best Regards,

    Pedrhom
