AWR2944: GPADC SW trigger time out

Hi Experts

My customer wish to trigger GPADC every 20ms to samples external voltages.

They find that the codes would assert in GPADC_SWTrigger(). Which indicate a time out,

May I ask the possible reason lead to timeout and how to avoid this assert?

Hi Ken,

The GPADC module needs to be reconfigured after every use i.e. in every iteration.

I have faced this issue earlier and for me reconfiguring the module with Drivers_gpadcClose() & Drivers_gpadcOpen() solved the issue.

Can you ask your customer to use these two functions at the end of the loop?

Format -

ext_vol_measurement_loop
{    
    // Ext voltage measurement
    ...

    Drivers_gpadcClose();
    // some delay
    Drivers_gpadcOpen();

}

May I know the recommend delay between driver close and driver open?

Hi Ken,

For our application we have used a delay of 10ms. But we haven't tested any maximum or minimum limit for this delay.
