Is the DCA1000 EVM really necessary when working with the AWR1642 EVM? Especially when using the mmWave studio. Could I use the studio without the devPack/DCA1000, just the AWR1642 EVM?

    Hi Josh,

    No, you can not use mmwave studio with AWR1642 device without DevPack/DCA1000. Because, AWR1642 device doesn't have any FTDI connection on the board itself. So we connect the DCA1000 Radar FTDI usb. Without the FTDI connection your board will not boot up properly. You'll not be able to give full reset and MSS power-up command to the AWR1642.

    Devpack or DCA1000 is compulsory to run the device with mmwave studio.
