Hello,
Yes you can use mmWaveStudio for any TI radar EVM without DCA1000. However, you will loose the capability to capture the received signal.
Hope this helps,

Hello, it seems that one of the prerequisites for running the mmWave Studio is to connect both the DCA1000 (which I don't have) and AWR1642 EVM. That's why when I open my mmWave Studio, it is RadarLinkDLL not working right?
You'll need to have the AWR1642EVM connected the first time you are running studio. You don't need the dca1000 for that.
RadarLinkDLL not working can be because of a few different reasons.

Thanks for clarifying it to me that the DCA1000 isn't required for the mmWave Studio to run, all I need is to know why I'm getting the error after I've done all the things instructed in here.
What version of studio are you using?
Are you able to see the ports for the device in "Device Management"?
Have you run Studio on other devices before?
What version of Matlab Runtime Engine do you have installed?
Thanks,
