Part Number: TPS552892-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS552892, TPS552872

Tool/software:

Hi

Can TPS552892-Q1 pass the VIN voltage transformation test of ISO 7637-2:2011 Test Pulse 4? VOUT=3.3V/2A

  • Hi Gareth,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    TPS552892-Q1 is ok with that.

  • Hi Bryce

Could you help the check below TPS552892 schematic and any need adjust

    For Pass ISO 7637-2 test.

    Thanks ~

  • Hi  Gareth,

Since our expert of this device is out of office this week, please expect a late reply here.

  • Hi Gareth,

    Below is my feedback:

    1. May I know what is application here?
    2. Input voltage range is 3V, 12V, 24V, right? If so, with 3.3V/1.2A output, TPS552872Q is more suitable here. Average inductor current limit of TPS552872Q is 4A, then you can use 4A Isat inductor here to save cost and solution size. It is pin to pin with TPS552892.
    3. If CC is not used, TP1 can be delected.
    4. For internal stability requirement, recommend to use 4.7uH inductor with Isat>8A(TPS552892) or Isat>4A(TPS552872).
    5. Recommend to add 2.2Ω(1206)+330pF RC snubber in SW1 and SW1 pin in auto application. Value can be adjuted in real application.
    6. C13 is too large. 100uF is enough. Or do you have some special requirement here? Recommend to put C13 outside R11.
    7. Please provide updated output capacitor part number or datasheet so that I can recommend compensation parameters.
    8.Please follow layout guideline.

    Regards,

    Mulin
