AWR1843: MRR_demo : RangeSNR and Doppler SNR

Please check the source code to understand what the format of the values is.

Unfortunately the developer of the demo is no longer available for support.

The GUI source code is also provided for reference.

If you wish to plot Relative power vs Range, I assume this would be for Zero Doppler. I think we have internally a modified demo that supports this feature

OK....The point is I need to use the MRR demo firmware and plot Relative power vs Range in the GUI which we are developing. The MRR demo firmware sends both Range and Doppler SNR....so out of this 2 which should I use to plot the Relative power.

Hi...., MRR demo is not sending Range profile and noise profile TLV.

The TLVs of MRR demo are :- 1)Detected objects 2) Clusters and 3) Tracked object.

Out of this the first TLV :- Detected objects sends the following.......

So for plotting Relative Power vs Range , in the Relative Power axis which should value should I pass : RangeSNR or DopplerSNR

As mentioned by Cesar, range profile is the range FFT corresponding to the zero doppler. 

To get an understanding of the range profile, I suggest you to go through the following threads

I will clarify my concern....i need to get plot SNR of the detected objects....so can i use RangeSNR value in the detected objects TLV and then use 10*log(value) to get in dB.

we saw it...but after decoding we are getting the value as 708,856 for range SNR......how can these value be considered as dB....whereas we were able to decode doppler,x,y and z properly.....

Ok....so we just need to multiply the logged RangeSNR with (6/256) right....? 

So for every chirp configuration i.e long range, short range and both long and short range sholud we multiply RangeSNR with 6/256 or will it vary with differnt chirp configurations......I got a doubt because 256 is the no.of ADC samples for long range right..? and 512 for Short Range.

So for short range chirp sholud we multiply with 6/512.
