OPT4060: Which register is used to trigger the capture in oneshot mode Register trigger ?

Part Number: OPT4060

Tool/software:

The datasheet specify (page 12) that :

– Register trigger: An I2C write to the M register triggers a measurement. The register value is reset after a successful measurement. INT pin can be configured to indicate measurement completion to read out output registers using the INT_DIR register.

What is the M register ?

  • Hi Raphael,

Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

In register trigger mode a conversion is triggered by a register write to the Configuration Register (register 0x0A). Writing to the OPERATING_MODE bits of register 0x0A will trigger a one-shot measurement.

    Best regards,

    Nicole
