Hi Ti,

I understand that AWRL6432BOOST uses FR4 as the antenna layer board.
But other EVMs use Rogers.
I would like to ask whether using FR4 will affect the overall characteristics?
What are the reasons for choosing FR4?

Hi Vincent,

The FR4 material was used because of its low-cost. Because of the higher dk and df values compared to high end materials like Rogers3003, its performance will be less in comparison with the Rogers material but still decent.
