IWR6843AOP: Queries regarding High Secure (HS) devices

Part Number: IWR6843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Tool/software:

Hello Community,

We are using IWR6843 HS chips on our custom boards. For development, we used IWR6843 QG (General/Non-secure) chips.

As far as I understand, High-Security devices are in Field securable (FS) mode and consist of TI keys when delivered from TI, and do not require a secure boot process.

So my questions are:

  1. Is it possible to directly debug this chip, without putting ccs_debug_secure.bin and using normal  ccs_debug.bin inside to debug or connect with debugger at least when no image is inside?
  2. Can I transfer my unsecured IWR image directly into the chip, since it's still in FS(Field securable mode)?
  3. Can I use this chip just like the IWR6843 unsecured chip when in HS-FS mode?

Right now we just want to use this High Secure chip like normal General chip without putting any keys, is this possible with this chip?

If not how should I proceed to put an image or debug this chip?

Thanks and Regards,

Swapnil
