Hi,

I am using IWR6843ISK. While object detection does RADAR give me the strength of the signal of detected object?

This signal strength of object may help me in detecting actual and false objects. If signal strength is high, then I can consider it as an actual object otherwise false object. So is there any data coming from radar which will give me the signal strength of object detected?

Hi Manoj,

Yes, you can use the SNR of the detected points. This should be in the detected object TLV or the side info TLV

Hi Nathan,

I am getting type identifier as 1000. In above link for this type identifier, it is only mentioned Range, Azimuth, Elevation and Doppler parameters. Could you please help in corelating SNR with detected objects?

Hi,

See the section on TLV Toggling with guiMonitor, this should show you how to export the different point clouds. You may need to use the people tracking or out-of-box demos for this. What code are you running on the device?

If you look at the point cloud side info (TLV type 7) you should get this information.
