HDC2010: The humidity measurement deviation is large

Part Number: HDC2010

Tool/software:

Hi TI Engineer,

One of our customers have reported that the humidity measured by the HDC2010 is too high, they compared the data under the same environment, including actual working conditions and office conditions, and found that the humidity measured by HDC2010 was relatively high, the record is as below:

TMP&Humidity-AN303_CN470 testing data.xlsx

The on-site testing is as follows:

Can you help analyze the cause of this problem?

Thanks,

Kind Regards

  • Hi Lumina,

Happy to help checkout this issue. First we have some follow-up questions:

    • Do you have time-0 measurements for the HDC2010's showing the measurements were originally in spec, or were the devices out-of-spec from the beginning? If the former, do you know if anything unusual happened to the parts before they became out-of-spec?
    • In the attached excel, I see data points for 3 other devices. Are the other devices also polymer-based humidity sensors, or do they use a different technology?
    • Please clarify the storage conditions and manufacturing/assembly conditions? It is important to follow the storage and handling guidelines outlined in the silicon users guide <https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snau250/snau250.pdf>. Exposure to harsh environments or contaminants could cause the device performance to shift.

    Best regards,
