IWR1843: Software in FLASH Memory

Part Number: IWR1843

Tool/software:

Hello,

I have a question about the software in FLASH memory.
Question 1: Is there a way to know which meta-image software is running? (Is there information in the CPU registers?)
Question 2: Is there a way to know which meta-image is valid as software? (Is there information in the CPU registers?)

Best regards
Yasuaki

  • Hello.

Question 1: Is there a way to know which meta-image software is running? (Is there information in the CPU registers?

The RBL will use the first valid image it can find at the start of each partition in SFLASH and boot that image.

Is there a way to know which meta-image is valid as software? (Is there information in the CPU registers?)

If the meta-image is valid it will be loaded into RAM, otherwise it will not try to boot that image.  The device will not start up in this case.

I do not believe there are any registers that indicate this status.

    Sincerely,

    Santosh
