Dear TI team

We plan to use your TMP117 sensor to design a body thermometer device, which should be certified in Europe. In the datasheet you mention that the device is designed to meet the ISO 80601-2-56 requirements. Do you have any test report which can demonstrate conformity to this standard? Are there any other test reports for this device?

Hello Stevan,

The TMP117 is designed to meet ASTM E1112 and ISO 80601 requirements for electronic patient thermometers. We meet the accuracy specs of these standards. TMP117 provides a ±0.1 °C accuracy. There has been an upgrade to TMP117. TI now has TMP119 available to order. TMP119 provides ±0.08°C accuracy.

Hi Meredith,

What documentation is available from TI to show traceability of a specific part to those standards and NIST calibration?

Is there a single document that covers the entire product line? Or can I send a device serial number to TI and get a NIST calibration certificate for that specific device?

I was able to download the documents - thanks!

The NIST letter dated 9/27/2023 doesn't list the TMP119, is there a letter available that covers that part?
