AWR2243: Hardware trigger period in cascading systems.

My customer is developing based on AWR2243 hardware trigger, they are using MCU to generate the frame trigger pulses.

The frame period is set as 50ms in frameCfg. However, sometimes MCU takes more time to process.

Is it feasible that MCU generate pulses not in a constant period? For example generate frame trigger in sequence like 50ms, 50ms, 75ms, 50ms?

Have you analyzed where is that delay coming from? Also, your main question here is to know whether the frame trigger pulse can be non-periodic or not, can you please confirm if my understanding is correct or you meant something else from the above query?

Yes, we want to know if the trigger pulse can be non-periodic and what's the tolerance.

Hi Ken,

It is based on your application. If you want to trigger your sensor in a periodic way you can us periodic pulses. The trigger pulse can be non-periodic as well.
