I have a OPT4060 EVM and would like to know if the OPT4048 will be work correctly if I plug it into the OPT4060 EVM?

Or is each EVM only intended for a specific variant.

Yes, this is fine. The EVM Motherboard is designed to be compatible with all of our EVM coupon boards.
