TMP112: in coolant

Part Number: TMP112

Tool/software:

Hi,

We  had a project requirement that required the entire SSD to be placed in coolant recently.
Can you help me confirm whether there is any risk (electricity or reliability) to the following materials if they are left in this kind of liquid for a long time?

Below is the coolant detail.

Thanks!

Jeff

  • We're aware that our customers are interested in immersion cooling, but we don't currently have any data on the long term impact of the coolant chemicals. However, I do have a few comments:

    • TMP112 has standard plastic encapsulation and isn't expected to react to the chemicals differently than other encapsulated ICs.
    • We use Galden HT thermal transfer fluids in our temperature sensor characterization work. I understand this fluid is expensive and unlikely to be chosen for the immersion cooling application, but we have extensive experience submerging our devices in it with no adverse affect.
    • We would be happy to inspect devices you have stress tested in our FA labs to give feedback.

    thanks,

    ren
