Dears,
The stability parameters of TMP117 are shown in the figure. What is the annual offset converted to 25°C?
Many thanks!

Hi Arabella,
The long term drift spec is not linear over time since the test is performed by testing the device before and after a 1000hr stress at 150°C. However, using Arrhenius eqn you could determine how many years this stress is equivalent to at 25°C. For more info please check the following document: https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/slap177/slap177.pdf.
From page 22, you could calculate AF which comes out to be 3142hrs --> over 300 years of use at 25°C.
Best regards,
Simon Rojas
Is the temperature drift also calculated in this ratio? 150℃ drift of 0.03℃ for 1000 hours is equivalent to 25℃ drift of more than 300 years?
Arabella,
Temperature drift is measured, not calculated. This is done by testing the device before and after 1000hr stress at 150°C.
Correct, this is what the AF calulation yields. Even though an average application temperature of 25°C may be unrealistic depending on the end equipment.
