AWRL1432BOOST-BSD: ADC data range is small

How are the determining ADC range?

Yes, we have tried with both mmwavestudio and BSD release v1.00, which has the same phenomenon. The ADC range is from -60 to 20 with BPM, HPF 175Mhz, BSD EVM. The range is still very small compared with 12-bit ADC DFE, but I have no idea about this, could you help to check whether there is other influence factor, or 1432 BSD EVM indeed has this small ADC range.

I used BSD EVM towards the ceiling in my office seat, and the waveform was modified on the TI example waveform, using BPM mode, HPF set to 175kHz, Rx gain set to 40 dB, and the demo used v1.00 version. After collecting bin file, the ADC amplitude in the time domain is mainly observed. The figure on the left is obtained by directly observing the two adjacent chirps of BPM, the horizontal axis is the sampling point and the vertical axis is the amplitude. The figure on the right is obtained by doing the range and doppler dimension-FFT, the horizontal axis is the distance dimension sampling point, and the vertical axis is the dB amplitude.

Yes, we put an corner reflecter at 6m, and the distance information is also correct, but as you said, the amplitude is also small. Is this correct with the expectation? The 10dBsm Angle is already a strong target, and the 1432 ADC bit width is 12bit, we are concerned that the near-end amplitude is so small, which will affect the overall dynamic range and remote target detection.
