AWR1843BOOST: Discrepancy in Temperature Readings Between MRR Lab and MMWave Out-of-Box Demo

I am trying to integrate the rlRfGetTemperatureReport function with the MRR lab as shown in the this Thread.

But after running this application and the MMWave_OutofBox Demo I am getting 2 different results of the temperature. Although I am running both these demos in two board at the same time. Is this expected ie. MRR lab heats up the board more as compared to out_of_the_box demo

Hi,

Which chirp configurations are you using for each demo? If the sensor is running with a higher duty cycle in the MRR Lab, a higher temperature is expected.

Hello Jin,

I am using the mrr_config_chirp_design_MRR120.h file (not using the USRR chirp) with

SUBFRAME_MRR_PERIODICITY_VAL (10000000U)

This is expected becsuse in MRR all 3TX are enabled at the same time (Beamforming). In the oob demo, only one TX is ensbled at a time (MIMO)
