TMP421: Utilizing a PNP transistor for remote sensing

Part Number: TMP421
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DXP

Tool/software:

Hello,

I want to confirm I am connecting and using an appropriate PNP transistor for remote sensing with the TMP421. I selected a 3906 PNP transistor, where I connected the emitter to DXP and the Base and Collector to DXN. Is this correct? I put 1K resistors in series between the TMP421 DXP/N pins and the 3906 transistor.

I have two questions:

1) Is the connections of the 3906 PNP transistor correct?

2) What is the expected voltage output on DXP and DXN for sensing the transistor?

Thank you!
