TMP423-Q1: Is the B version of factory programming of TMP423-Q1 purchasable?

Part Number: TMP423-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP468, TMP9R00-SP

Tool/software:

This part of the datasheet suggests I should be able to use two TMP423-Q1s if I buy the differently addressed factory programs:

But the ordering part of datasheet doesn't list the B part:

Is it orderable?

  • Hello Nino,

Thank you for informing us about this issue. It does not look like the TMP423B-Q1 is available. We are currently looking at our inventory. The commercial TMP423B is available on ti.com. Are you only interested in Q-ratted parts? What size and package are you interested in? Are you interested in packages with an additional address pins? Answering these questions will help direct me in selecting the correct temperature sensor for your system.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Meredith,

I have the commercial TMP423A/B baselined in my design. Having the automotive rating would have been nice since it is a high reliability application, but we can live with the commercial part. I was just asking because the B part is listed as existing in the datasheet, but it isn't clear that it actually does exist.

We need to measure 5 diodes so we needed the A & B so that we have different addresses to talk to both devices, but a part with address pins would have been fine. Small size is important.

  • Hello Nino,

If you are interested in more channels, we have TMP9R00-SP and TMP468 available on ti.com. Both can can measure up to 8 different diodes with 8 different channels within the device. TMP9R00 is space qualified, radiation-hardness-assured (RHA) up to Total Ionizing Dose (TID) 100 krad(Si) at low dose rate (LDR) of 10 mrad/s and Signal Event Latch up Immune to 76 MeV·cm2 /mg at 125°C. Is TMP9R00-SP or TMP468 something you would be interested in?
