HDC3022: I2C standard mode

Part Number: HDC3022

Tool/software:

Hi,

The datasheet didn't list the specification in the I2C standard mode.

Is the specification following standard-mode parameters when the HDC3022 works in 100Khz speed?

Thank you,

Yishan Chen

  • Yishan,

You are correct that I2C standard mode isn't explicitly listed, the SCL frequency range for the Fast Mode specs goes from 1khz to 400khz, so the specs listed under Fast Mode apply to Standard Mode as well.

  • Hi Alex,

    Thank you for your reply.

I just want to know when HDC3022 works in standard mode, if customer design their hardware by follow the I2C standard protocol but not follow our specification listing in 6.6,will it have any problem?

For example, in I2C standard protocol and in standard mode, there are no minimum limitation in Tr.

But in our specification, the minimum time is 20ns to satisfy Fast mode protocol.

So will it be any problem, if the Tr in customer system is less than 20ns? Because it is satisfy the I2C standard protocol but out of our datasheet specification.

    Thank you,

    Yishan Chen

  • Yishan,

Thanks for clarifying your question. There should be no problem if the customer follows standard I2C protocol at 100KHz.

    Thanks
