IWRL6432: Metal screws near antenna

Part Number: IWRL6432

Tool/software:

Radar team,

What guidance do we give about the location of screws near the antenna for the IWRL6432?  The customer will follow the antenna design of IWRL6432BOOST.

Do we have recommendations about how far away any screws (or other metal) must be from the antenna?  Anything about the position of the screws in relation to the antenna?  Should the screws be grounded?

Thanks,
Darren

  • Hi Darren,

There should not be any metal surface or metal screws within the FOV of the antenna. For 6432FCCSP the customer should ensure that there is no reflecting surface within +- 60deg. azimuth and elevation plane FOV. In case they want to use screws, it should be plastic screws.

    Regards
