AWR1843: Synthesizer frequency monitoring feature (Con't)

The customer has additional questions to previous post.

Q1) According to the previous answer, AWR1843 supports "Synthesizer frequency monitoring" in "Live mode" only.
Table 8.18 in "Interface Control Document" says it is "Debug Mode".
The customer wonders if the feature can be used only for debug. Is this future supported for production?


Q2)  Do you have sample code to use Live mode?

    Q3) They are planning to monitor Synthesizer Frequency and check if the frequency is within 76GHZ to 77GHz and frequency slope is correct.
    Is this feasible?

    Q4) Is there any other module or method the customer can use to implement the monitoring mechanism described in Q3?

    I think you might be referring to a different version of the ICD which might not be completely applicable for AWR1843. You can use the below version.

    Please refer to version above. This monitor can be used in production as well if required by the customer.

    No, currently we do not have it. It should be very similar to the other monitoring's on the device. We can help review the code if user is facing any issues.

    During the chirp, the error of the measured instantaneous chirp frequency w.r.t. the desired value is continuously compared against the threshold set in the monitor Config API. This monitor will be able to catch any anomalies/abnormality in the FMVW Synthesizer.
