AWR2243BOOST: SPI connectivity status remains Disconnected

Hi all,

I have got AWR2243BOOST and DCA1000EVM. I am trying to connect the two board to the system using mmwave studio 3.0.0.14. 

I have used the following

radar ss: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\rf_eval_firmware\AWR2243_ES1_1\radarss\xwr22xx_radarss.bin

master ss: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\rf_eval_firmware\AWR2243_ES1_1\masterss\xwr22xx_masterss.bin

All the steps are going through except SPI connectivity status as shown in figure below. 

I have given power supply only AWR2243BOOST board and not to the DCA1000EVM. Is DCA1000EVM board powered through AWR2243BOOST board using 60 pin HD connector? Or do I have to connect one power supply to both the boards.

    I'm working with the AWR2243BOOST, and I'm trying to connect via SPI using the mmWave Studio. However, I'm encountering an issue where the SPI connectivity status remains disconnected. Here's what I've done so far:

    1. Firmware Loaded:

      • Radar SS: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\rf_eval_firmware\AWR2243_ES1_1\radarss\xwr22xx_radarss.bin
      • Master SS: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\rf_eval_firmware\AWR2243_ES1_1\masterss\xwr22xx_masterss.bin

    2. Observed Issue:

      • After attempting to connect via SPI, I receive an error, and the connectivity status shows as disconnected.

    Request for Assistance:

    Could anyone guide me on what steps I should take next to debug this issue? I'm looking for any common troubleshooting tips or specific steps that might help resolve this connectivity problem.

    It is advised to use another 5 V power supply for the DCA1000 as stated in the DCA1000 user guide 


    Please check and make sure this switch is configured correctly
