Hello,

I'm using mmwave_diag SBL demo code from radar_box_1_10_00_13. I'm currently able to flash the application using SBL i have no issues doing it. However when i integrate I2C driver. i see RPRC failure when Image loader function is executed . Specifically here. However initiated I2C work fine. I'm able to read and write using the I2C. Can you please help me with the issue i'm facing. After I2C initialization i'm canceling and closing the i2c.

Hey Madhusudhan,

First of all, could you update to the latest version of the Radar Toolbox, 2.20.00.05, and use the current mmWave Diagnostic Monitoring example? This may not resolve the issue, but its always good to use the latest code in case of any bugs on older versions.

Additionally, how and when are you initializing the I2C driver?

Lastly, could you clarify on what you mean by the "allocated ROM memory size to flash SBL?" Are you referencing the size of the ROM bootloader (RBL) code or the size of the SBL? In the case of the latter, it should occupy around 317 KB of SFLASH memory

Hello Kristien,

I'm referring to size of ROM bootloader Size, what can be the maximum size of my SBL code. I'm initializing i2C at SBL_initTask Function. I have integrated CAN on SBL too. just for your information. I'm initializing first CAN and then I2C. Thanks

Hey Madhusudhan,

Thank you for clarifying on the ROM memory question. Individual application images, such as the SBL, can be up to 512 KB in size due to how the SFLASH memory is partitioned into 512 KB sections. This is alluded to at the bottom of p.6 of the IWR6843 Bootloader Flow application note.

Could you share the code for SBL_initTask that you've added the I2C and CAN driver to?

Hello Kristien,

When i was declaring I2C handle inside gSblMCB structure. So i was facing the issue, when i declared outside it worked fine, i think there are some prebuilt binaries which are not updated when i declare the new variable inside the gSblMCB structure. So i faced this error maybe. However when i did it outside it worked fine. Thanks
