AWR2544LOPEVM: AWR2544 How to configure TX phase shift

 In what way can the 2544 radar currently configure the TX phase shift? When we used 2944 before, we used the advChripCfg CLI command to configure the phase shift (as shown below), but the 2544 manual clearly indicates that the advChrip configuration is not supported. Is there any other way to configure this function?

  • Hi Jack,

    As for AWR2544 device the advChirpCfg command is not available, you can use the profileCfg command that takes the txPhaseShifter as one of its arguments.

    I want to implement the functions of the 2944 advChripCfg with respect to TX Phase Shifter. For example, I set "deltaParamUpdatePeriod" to 1 and "sf0ChirpParamDelta" to a phase value such as 60 degrees. I understand that when one chirp is finished, the phase value of the next chirp will increase by 60, and the phase of each subsequent chirp will increase by 60 until chirp is finished. How can I achieve this function on 2544?

    Can you help me understand what is your usecase? 

    Are you trying to achieve the above functionality in the OOB demo itself or looking for a way to test it?

    Meanwhile I'll check what can be a possible work around here.

    I want to implement the function of advChripCfg on 2544 OOB demo similar to that on 2944 chip. I want to configure the TX phase of each chirp. What should I do to achieve this?

  • Hi Jack,

    The AWR2544 OOB Demo with DDM processing chain already has this functionality.

    In DDM proc chain all TXs will be enabled with orthogonality in Doppler spectrum and in time domain a unique phase is applied to each TX channel. The phase value is constant for each chirp and increases as the chirp index increases. 

    You need to run the demo with DDM proc chain by selecting DDM in procChainCfg command.
