Regarding SLAA733 Frequently Asked Questions...
Section 5.11 provides an equation for the distance vs ultrasonic time which takes account of the time spent bursting however I have discovered that the ultrasonic time includes the deglitch time. Any change to the deglitch time will change the ultrasonic time even though the distance to the target has not changed.
As a consequence for accurate measurement the deglitch time must be subtracted from ultrasonic time before using the equations provided.
