Tool/software:
Hello Team,
Posting on behalf of my customer:
Can you help me configure the MMW CAS DSP EVM BOARD with my PC because it is not shown in the device manager?
When MMW CAS DSP board connect with the PC . there are no ports shown in the device manager as in the user guide. what can be the issue? when DSP Board connect with PC ftdi power enable LED not power correctly (it has low brightnes).
I recently connected my MMWCAS-DSP-EVM board to my PC following the instructions provided in the user guide. However, I'm encountering an issue where the device is not recognized in the Device Manager. Additionally, I noticed that the FTDI POWER ENABLE LED, located near the USB mini 2.0 port, does not light up at full brightness when the board is connected to my laptop via the USB mini cable.
Details:
- Device Not Recognized: The board does not appear in the Device Manager after connection.
- FTDI POWER ENABLE LED Issue: The LED is dim and does not reach full brightness, which seems unusual based on the user guide and typical behavior of the board.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- I ensured that all connections were secure and that the correct USB drivers were installed.
- I tried using different USB ports and cables, but the issue persists.
- I checked the power supply to ensure it meets the board’s requirements.
Questions:
- Could this be a hardware failure, possibly related to the FTDI chip or the power supply to the USB interface?
- Or is it more likely a software or driver-related issue?
Thank you for reaching out. Below are the details of the installer packages, runtime engines, and software I have installed for the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM:
-
mmWave Studio:
- Version: [mmWave Studio_02_01_01]
-
MATLAB Runtime Engine:
- Version: [MCR_R2015aSP1_win32_installer]
-
FTDI Drivers:
- Version: [it is installed with mm Studio ] and update it also
