I am developing a custom cascaded system.
We need to improve the frequency stability and phase noise for a long duration (+24Hrs) phase/displacement monitoring application (similar to your vital sign applications).
One of the ways we thought of doing this is replacing the 40MHz crystal with a TXCO with better phase noise and frequency tolerance and stability. But will that improvement carry over into the 20GHz LO or is that generated completely separately?
