I am designing my own board for AWR1843, Can you please tell if in the pic the area marked with red square has to be ground plane or what?

    Hello,

    This is the exposed die. You should connect to a solid GND pour using a TIM (thermal interface material). It is not electrically connected to GND, it is intended to help provide thermal relief for the die. Please refer to the EVM design for layout requirements, you should provide several through hole vias to inner layer GND to help reduce heat on the die.
