DCA1000EVM: When would DCA1000 start stream data out through Ethernet

Part Number: DCA1000EVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

DCA1000 receive data through LVDS, when would it start to stream data out through Ethernet? After one chirp received or one frame received?

Andy

  • Hello,

The DCA1000 streams the data to the PC as it receives it with some small delay controlled by the user configurable packet delay. The packet delay will impact the overall throughput as described in the user guide.

There is also a 2GB DDR to temporarily store data in case the data input is faster than the Ethernet throughput. However, once this 2GB is full it will cause an error so you can only do short captures if the LVDS throughput is > the ethernet throughput to avoid overflowing the DDR memory.

    Regards,

    Adrian
