AWR1843AOP: AWR1843AOP: Power-On nReset

Part Number: AWR1843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hi TI members,

We are developed a custom board in which we have used AWR1843AOP chip. We programmed it using UART base bootloader.

first we programmed it via uniflash to enable development mode then we programmed the application image from "flash". while flashing from ccs we modified the "image.syscfg", The entire process is ok the application runs fine. But when we power on/off the custom board, the module does not work. we have to reset it manually by giving low on nReset pin. Just for your reference we have connected nRESET to PMIC_3.3V. We also connecting a 10k pullup and 0.1uF cap in nReset pin still the module hangs on power on reset.

Below is reset circuit

SOP Circuit

Does my circuit need to be corrected or is there anything missing?

Thank you

  • I don't see anything wrong with the snippet you have shown but probably the SOP mode is not being latched correctly. If the NRST crosses 1.7V before the SOP pins are stable it will not put the device in the correct SOP mode.

You need to probe SOP pins along with NRST during power on to see if the SOP pins are stable before NRST crosses 1.7V.
