If I measure the current from the Vcc/supply side and the device is active mode, what operating current should I expect?

The datasheet mentioned 1.8uA operating current on the first page. But it also mentioned that 1.8uA typ is Iq (Quiescent Current) on the electrical characteristics. Is Iq the same as operating current for this device? See screenshots from the datasheet below referencing the mentioned operating and quiescent current.

I am curious because I've been comparing this device with similar devices from other manufacturers and their I_operating is >70uA.

    Hello Exequiel,

    Yes, our datasheet defines the operating current as Iq. The OPT3007 is a very low power device so you can expect the operating current to be somewhere between 1.8 - 3.7 uA depending on the lighting conditions.
