Tool/software:
Dear,
I am currently facing an issue with flashing the IWR6843AOPEVM using Uniflash. I have successfully flashed the board multiple times in the past without any problems, but in the past few days, I’ve been unable to do so.
When flashing the board using the default demo binary for the xwr68xx_mmw_demo.bin I get this error:
[19/09/2024, 14:58:41] [INFO] Cortex_R4_0: Initialization complete. [19/09/2024, 14:58:41] [INFO] Cortex_R4_0: Flashing process starting... These are the things I tried to solve the error:
Given that flashing the board previously worked and I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, I’m reaching out as a last resort for suggestions on how to resolve this error.
If additional information is required, I would be happy to provide it.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best Regards,

Hi
Thanks for your query. Please allow us couple of days to respond.

Hello.
Do you have any other application running that is connected to the same COM Port? Can you also provide an image of your board switch settings?
Sincerely,
Santosh
Hello,
I have no other applications running.
Here is a picture of my configuration. The SOP switch on the back is set to 1.
Can you show the switch on the back as well? That is what controls whether the device is in flashing or functional mode.
Sincerely,
Santosh
Everything looks fine settings-wise, and if you have tried on another device as well I would recommend trying a different USB cable as sometimes if a cable connection is not good it may show up on the device manager but still not work when it tries to connect to the device. Have you tried with a different cable on both devices you have and see if it works? Are you also plugged into the left side of the EVM?
Sincerely,
Santosh
Yes I have done all these things. And I am plugged in on the left side of the EVM.
Apologies for the delay in response. It may be a device issue at this point, have you tried a clean EVM with nothing programmed on the device? Is the device still showing up on the device manager? It is possible sometimes that the COM ports will change and so please make sure that it matches what you are typing in, and if this doesn't resolve it either, you may just have to get a new EVM.
Sincerely,
Santosh
No worries.
I found that plugging the EVM in and out of the power supply between each action solves the problem.
Thanks for the help!
