Tool/software:

I want to monitor the battery voltage coming from the vehicle.

Is the vsense pin the right pin to monitor the battery voltage?

If so, what is the input voltage range allowed?

I need some guidance on how the circuit should be configured to read the battery voltage.

Hi Do-Hyun,

Yes, Vsense Pin can be used to monitor external voltages. Please refer to the section 7.4.1 in the datasheet.
Max unbuffered voltage shouldn't exceed beyond 1.8V. To monitor the battery voltage, a PD network can be a created in such a way that at any point of time the max voltage on this pin is less than 1.8V.

Are you saying that in order to limit the input voltage to less than 1.8V, I have to divide it using two resistors?

This is one of the simplest way to do. You can always use a series transitor circuit also using Zener diode to achieve the same.
